Steve Weinzierl
Powersport Aviation is proud to announce the addition
of Steve Weinzierl to its development team, where he will head up the Powersport Engine
Development and Test Team. The test team's goal is to provide Sport Aviation consumers
with an affordable, reliable, high-power density engine alternative.
Steve will soon be completing his Masters Degree in Mechanical
Engineering. His concentration is in the area of achieving the ultimate in performance and
reliability targets for engine development systems.
For the last five years, Steve trained with Martin Heinrich, the engineer
responsible for Polaris' new line of domestic engines. Steve benefited from Mr. Martin's
30 years of engine design and development experience while at both Polaris and at Kohler.
While at Polaris, Steve concentrated in Dyno testing and in the development of two- and
four-stroke engines. The programs Steve worked on were focused at providing high
performance engines, primarily for snowmobiles and water craft, with increased reliability
while operating at high loads. Most recently, Steve has been developing the Polaris'
Victory motorcycle engine. For the last two years, he has worked to bring the 1507cc
engine into production.
